Regardless of how the political winds are blowing, it is but our duty as citizens to do just that in a country whose foundation rests upon the notion of dissent. They force us to re-examine our assumptions and challenge us to not to be swept away by blind loyalty or political conformity. As the years go by, it seems to me that we should be paying more attention to the writings of these brilliant authors.
